Technical support for solving environmental issues on a global scale
Utilizing the expertise and know-how gained through waste management operations, we are working to solve environmental issues both in Japan and abroad. In particular, we are implementing waste management and recycling system development in emerging and developing countries.
Main Initiatives
01.
Plastic Waste Recycling Project in Cebu, Philippines
Overview
As part of the JICA Overseas Expansion Support Program for SMEs, we are carrying out a project in Cebu City to convert waste plastic into refuse-derived fuel (RDF).
Results
RDF fuel produced from waste plastics is used as a coal substitute fuel at a local cement plant, reducing CO2 emissions.
After installing a pilot plant, a commercial-scale recycling facility was completed in 2017, contributing to local employment creation and raising environmental awareness through community education.

Industrial Waste Treatment Survey in Amata City, Thailand
Overview
Participated in a survey on waste treatment and energy projects in the Amata City Industrial Park, Thailand, as part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's 'High-Quality Infrastructure Survey Project'.
Results
Analyzed waste discharge status and the quality and quantity of recyclable resources, proposing a sustainable waste management model. Developed a business plan in collaboration with local partners.

Factory tour for overseas delegation
Overview
As part of training and inspection programs organized by JICA and Yokohama City International Affairs Bureau, our recycling plant is visited.
Results
We showcase the process of producing recycled materials from waste plastics and converting wood collected from demolition sites into biomass fuel. Based on our experience in the Philippines, we introduce specific initiatives and provide consultations on collaboration projects through sharing technology and know-how.

Initiatives in Gujarat, India
Overview
In Gujarat, India, with rapid economic development, approximately 250 tons per day of plastic waste discharged from 34 paper mills in Vapi city was a major issue due to improper disposal causing environmental and social concerns.
Results
Regarding the commercialization study of a recycled plastic products business (pellets, artificial wood, high-quality RDF), we provided proposals and support for RDF improvements as external personnel for the main proposing company.

Initiatives in Fiji
Overview
Local survey project for comprehensive waste management including hazardous waste and infrastructure export.
Our company conducts on-site surveys aimed at advancing comprehensive waste management including hazardous waste and promoting sustainable infrastructure exports.
Results
The project identifies waste management challenges in Fiji and evaluates the feasibility of introducing optimal treatment technologies accordingly. It aims to reduce environmental impact, optimize resource circulation, and contribute to sustainable regional development.
